A Portable Electric Pump Is Supplied For Each Reservation.
An Additional Entry Fee ($8 / Adult and $3.50 / Child) and Tubing Registration Fee ($20 / Person) Must Be Paid At The Elora Gorge Park On The Day Of Your Journey.
The 10AM Pickup Is From 10AM – Noon. The 1:30PM Pickup Is From 1:30PM – 3PM.
Geological Formation: Elora Gorge was formed by the erosion of the Elora Formation, which is made up of limestone and dolostone. Over thousands of years, the Grand River carved out the gorge, creating its unique features.
Grand River: Elora Gorge is situated along the Grand River, one of Southern Ontario’s major waterways. The river stretches over 300 kilometers (186 miles) and flows through scenic landscapes, including the gorge.
Size and Depth: The gorge is approximately 22 meters (72 feet) deep and stretches for about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) in length. It showcases steep cliffs and rock formations, providing breathtaking views.
Conservation Area: Elora Gorge is part of the Elora Gorge Conservation Area, managed by the Grand River Conservation Authority. The area offers various recreational activities and outdoor experiences for visitors to enjoy.
Tubing and Kayaking: One of the popular activities at Elora Gorge is tubing. Visitors can rent inner tubes and float down the Grand River, navigating through the rapids and enjoying the natural surroundings. Kayaking is also a popular water sport in the area.
